RIFM and IFRA

The need to be unified and coordinated globally is critical to the health and future success of the fragrance industry.

In order to ensure that success, as of January 2005, RIFM will be more closely allied with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).

The RIFM/IFRA alliance will allow for a closer coordination of information and action from the science arena to the advocacy needs of our industry. This new alliance, with a science arm (RIFM) and an advocacy/communication arm (IFRA), will promote acknowledged leadership and expertise in fragrance science and communicate informed scientific data to official agencies and other interested parties. 

The RIFM/IFRA alliance will more widely publicize throughout the industry, our Code of Practice and the IFRA Standards, along with our common goal of protecting the consumer and the environment.
